Something I miss more than most things in New Zealand is their real fruit frozen yogurt swirls... on a waffle cone to be precise!! When I visit home, lets just say... it is a daily ritual, with no regrets!! But Ive played around and found ways to satisfy that craving here in Hawaii.
Im an ice-cream lover, and my son seems to follow suit! But here is a "treat" the keiki and older guys LOVE! Plus when my little coconut wants to eat "eye-cream" (haha, thats how he says it) for breakfast, I don't feel like Im failing at the beginning of the day because the ingredients are wholesome and simple.
These are suuuuper easy!! and super good!! The combo of real fruit with the yogurt is a game changer. And theres just something about having it on a stick that changes everything!
2 Cups Frozen Mango
1- 5.3oz @chobani Plain Non-Fat Greek Yogurt
1- 5.3oz @chobani Passion Fruit Greek Yogurt (use half for mixture, half to swirl in at the end)
1 Tbsp Honey, or to taste.
Squeeze of lemon/lime if ya like (optional)
Fresh Lilikoi (Passionfruit) to add into moulds (optional)
Blend all the ingredients together till smooth, divide between molds & place a popsicle stick in, freeze until firm (about 6hrs), dip the molds briefly in hot water to get the pops out easily & VOILA!! ✨I like to make more to have as a smoothie bowl, and use the rest for the pops! Top it with fresh lilikoi (passionfruit), or any fruit of choice, granola & coconut!
You can customize this in so many different ways, using different fruits or other flavor yogurts. Even combining two different mixes is epic!! Ive made all sorts of combos using berries and whatnot. Also adding real fruit in to the moulds along with the blended mix is amazing, that way you get fresh fruit chunks as you bite your way through!!
Would love to know if you make these and what ya think. Share and tag @rocamoon so I can see :) Have a great day!! xx
p.s. This is NOT a sponsored post. Just some good ol fro yo pops for ya!! xx
